Monitoring Climate Change

We are partnering with TAHMO to put weather stations in dry forests. Currently Madagascar is experiencing drastic changes due to global warming. However, few weather stations exist to record the changing climate. Our goal is to install weather stations up and down western Madagascar so that researchers around the world can monitor and study Madagascar’s climate. Max Planck Institute funded our first weather station in 2023 that was installed at the Ankoatsifaka Research Station in Kirindy Mitea National Park. Here is the latest information:
